New York Observer Dance section goes haywire

And here we go again. The old horse of Cold War era
Robert Gottlieb just pours out his venom on unsuspectiong readers in the
New York Observer. He accuses K-M of just about every balletic “sin” in the world. Dancers are good, but... wait! “cramped stage, the greeting-card décor, the bizarre programming” the aging critic attributes to Kirov’s stagnation rather than a desire to bring art in general and ballet in specific closer to people of all walks of life in this great city of ours. And while most of New-Yorkers of all ethnic origins and walks of life cheered, applauded and threw flowers at the feet of Kirov dancers, this relic of the past, genetically traces the happy crowd to Russian roots:
Robert Gottlieb писал(а):

though not to the heavily Russian audience, who bravoed, ovated, yipped, barked and screamed for every fouetté (the gals) and barrel turn (the guys).
Ok, Gottlieb has a problem with people being happy so what? But hey, read this:
Robert Gottlieb писал(а):

Even the Russian contingent in the audience seemed to get it

"Even"

Does
Mr. Gottlieb implies that New-Yorkers of Russian decend are not as smart as he is? If I were a member of Russian community in NYC – I'd not hesitate to sue this specimen of years past and the publication that dishes out this trash for ethnic slur
